Thursday, Jan12th @ Twilight Artist Collective in West Seattle. About the Show: _'Religiously'_ by Jesse Link. "With this series I wanted to
address the idea of religion being what one does "religiously". Whether it's
a physical action, a psychological habit or something mundane that's
repeated again and again, it's a behavior performed religiously. I wanted to
focus on the fact that one of the many actions I perform religiously is the
painting of animals. I decided to do the whole show with animals without
using any personification (no coffee drinking Beavers). I'll be paying
attention to the psychological intentions behind the behaviors and adding a
slight "church altar" feel to each while leaving theology out of the

This has been a very productive last two months and I have a lot going on in March as well. I just finished five paintings for the 5th floor of the newly finished LINK building (no relation) and am finishing work for 3 group shows and a solo show for next month. On top of that I'm working a painting that will be used as a snowboard graphic for a new snowboard company, Cabaret Snowboards. The company and board roll out will be later this year. Then after that I have a painting to finish for the Make A Wish Foundation and 3 new pieces for the HI-Life restaurant in Seattle and Monster art and clothing also in Seattle.

Electric coffins "Boxes of Death" group show, Early March at Ouch my eye in Seattle.

Seattle Mural

This Seattle Mural was completed for a photographer friend who is having a party. It's located in a private warehouse but Next month I'll be doing a public mural in Greenwood on 85th street. Also a time lapse of this mural will be posted soon.

"The Birds and the Bees" for January's First Thursday

Start the new year with Jesse Link and Pablo Picasso. On January 6th (First Thursday) I'll have at least 6 new pieces from my series "The Birds and the Bees" on display at the American Cutting Company at 1123 1st Ave across the street from the Seattle Art Museum which is showing a collection of Pablo Picasso. Entry into the Museum is Free on first Thursdays as is entry to the American Cutting Company. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres form 6 -9.

I'm really excited about April's show at the Victrola on Pike. I'm working on an entire new body of work just for the show and it's by far some of the most exciting stuff I've ever painted. I may post a sneak peak at some time or maybe post a photo on twitter. I'll be Hosting a reception on April 8th at the Victrola on Pike from 5-8 so please come and bring all of your friends! Bird 3 on the cover of country pleasures magazine.

This months issue of the North West's "Country Pleasures" Magazine will be featuring the painting "Bird 3" and Im really excited about it. This is my first print magazine. I'll be having a showing in April at Victrola roastery on Pike, in Seattle. The show will feature paintings somehow related to or resembling the style that the cover was done in. In other words lots of birds. A reception will be held on the day of the Capitol hill art blitz. Please come and checkout the new paintings.

Zero Zero a Success!

The show at Zero Zero has come to an end. It closed on Thursday Feb,18th and in my book was a Success. I received lots of wonderful feedback and sold quite a few pieces, Thanks Todd! But the show at Victrola is still going strong for one more week. A lot of pieces have sold and those that are left over will be making their way to Snoose Junction Pizza in Ballard in March. I would like to thank everybody for all of the interest and kind comments. Thank you!

All set up at Victrola on 15th. I've added some experimental encaustic works to the show. Check them out at Victrola until the end of Feb. I think I'm going to do my next entire show in the encaustic style. Wonderful medium.

Sunday will be my last day at Bauhaus. Besides being able to show my work there I enjoy being able to hangout with my paintings all over the place. As of Monday am I'll be set up at Victrola on 15th. I may include some new encaustic works ive been working on. I'm not sure though because i really like having them on my own walls. If anyone is interested in purchasing any work from Victrola you will have to contact me. They won't let you pay at the counter like Bauhaus. That's can be good though because that way I can meet those who are buying my work.

I Came up with a good Idea for a short film. Attack of the Sod people! They aren't made of sod they just work for a sod company and when they ATTACK they sod your house and cars and pets and children. If anyone wants to make this go for it but you have to cast me as one of the victims.

I have a new Solo show scheduled for April at Victrola Cafe on Pike. The Reception will be on April 8th from 5 to 8 during the capitol hill Art blitz. I'm really excited and have been sketching away planning on my new pieces for the show. I cant wait to start working on it.
